MCV Hospitals is the teaching hospital component of the VCU Health System (VCUHS), which also includes a number of outpatient clinics and MCV Physicians, a 600-physician, faculty group practice. The VCUHS, as the clinical delivery component of the VCU Medical Center, is the only academic medical center in Central Virginia and is a regional referral center for the state. The VCU Health System's academic mission supports and is directly linked to Virginia Commonwealth University.

The Department of Dermatology adheres to the highest standards in academic education while teaching the most advanced techniques in diagnosing, treating and understanding skin disease. We believe in a solid educational foundation of providing exceptional basic science and clinical training for our medical students, residents, fellows, and physicians. Our faculty are experts in their fields, leading a wide range of dermatologic and surgical endeavors. As a leading national academic institution, our students are surrounded by award winning physicians that pride themselves on educating future dermatologist and surgeons.

We welcome your interest in our programs and invite you to learn more about us and the VCU Medical Center community.
